Traffic Impact Studies

Transportation improvements often increase a specific area’s growth potential. Proposed development can impact the surrounding roadway system by increasing existing traffic volumes or altering traffic patterns. Traffic impact studies serve as the watchdog of infrastructure development, assisting developers and local development agencies in making land use decisions involving annexations, subdivisions, rezoning, special land uses, and other development reviews.  Assessing the impacts of new or proposed development including safety, traffic, and transportation operations on the current infrastructure aids developers and government agencies in minimizing adverse effects.
