PBS&J established its land acquisition division to provide a full range of support to local and state agencies involved in property acquisition for public works projects. The division is staffed with full-time real estate professionals with expertise in property appraisal, acquisition negotiations, relocation assistance, and property management. These services are supported by professional engineers with expertise in survey and mapping, engineering design, and environmental analysis.

PBS&J is especially strong in project management, scheduling and control services. Our senior staff has served as project managers for direct acquisition and relocation assignments, and as program managers directing the work of other professionals as an extension of our clients' staff. PBS&J has helped pioneer the turnkey approach to right-of-way acquisition for highway projects. By providing a client with all required disciplines under a single management point, the company has demonstrated the positive cost and schedule implications of a coordinated engineering and acquisition program.
