Woodbridge is a 938-acre master-planned residential golf course community located in Sachse and Wylie, Texas, growing suburb towns northeast of Dallas. Home to the northern Texas chapter of the PGA, the championship Woodbridge Golf Course is the centerpiece of this new community that includes over 2,600 single-family homes, 25.5 acres of commercial development, a seven-mile trail system, five parks, and 16 acres of lakes, all planned and designed to highlight and enhance the natural environment and the surrounding community.
PBS&J provided site and civil engineering for infrastructure improvements including stormwater and drainage systems, water and sewer infrastructure, and roadway design. The firm was also responsible for the creation of wetlands, stream restoration, nature areas, and stormwater detention. Site engineering services included preliminary and final plats, plans for excavation, and record drawings for over 266 residential lots. During the seven construction phases, PBS&J provided surveying and construction management services including boundary verification, topographical surveys, franchise utility coordination, and construction staking. To comply with TxDOT requirements, PBS&J prepared a survey of surplus property located on the southeast right-of-way line of State Highway 78, which runs along approximately 2,000 feet of the Woodbridge development.
