St. Simon's Village Master Plan

Development scenario for managed growth.

The Village on St. Simon's Island is as much a part of the island's unique character and charm as the moss-draped live oaks, beautiful beaches, and dramatic marsh views. In recent years the Village, along with the rest of the island, has seen significant new growth and development. At the heart of the Village are the pier, Neptune Park, and the old Casino complex.

The Village serves as the Town Center, or "downtown" for the entire island. Through a visioning process, PBS&J helped bring the St. Simon's community together to define a consensus-based, unified vision using an open, participatory workshop planning approach. PBS&J also assisted the community in developing a shared long-term vision for the Village through a series of resident interviews and public workshops.
