Texas Turnpike Authority (TTA) |
The Texas Turnpike Authority Division (TTA) of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is responsible for the preliminary planning of TxDOT toll facilities for the state of Texas. The first turnpike system implemented by this agency is comprised of three turnpike elements including Loop 1 and SH 45, 5- and 13-mile tolled segments in the northern, fast growing region of Austin. SH 130 is a 45-mile north-south tolled facility on the east side of Austin. Unlike Loop 1 and SH 45, SH 130 will be the first toll facility in Texas to be designed and constructed as a Comprehensive Development Agreement, in which a consortium designs and constructs the facility on a fast-track program.
PBS&J is providing all CPM schedule development and maintenance services for this $700-million, ten-year turnpike construction program. The elaborate program involves development of over 5,000 schedule activities crossing all phases from initial design to final construction. PBS&J is employing a number of innovative scheduling and management techniques and processes including schedule risk analysis, delay claims, time impact studies, cashflow management of over $2 billion, as well as, the implementation of various electronic methods of remote schedule management.
