Tallahassee, FL – PBS&J welcomes Craig Hedman to the southeast environmental sciences division and the Tallahassee office. Hedman is a new senior project manager, responsible for managing projects, conducting senior technical assignments, and developing business in the areas of natural resources and ecological science in north Florida and throughout the Southeast.
“Craig’s expertise in natural resources conservation and management will build on the strengths of our division and enhance our service delivery to current and future clients,” said Doug Robison, southeast environmental sciences division manager. “His knowledge and experience make him a great addition to the entire PBS&J team.”
Hedman has 20 years of professional experience in natural resources conservation and management. The emphasis of his work has been on forest and water resources, with particular expertise gained in forest ecology, threatened and endangered species management, watershed science and management, wetlands assessment and restoration, mitigation and conservation banking, sustainable forestry, and alternative sources of forest-based revenue.
Hedman was formerly manager of forest ecology and water resources for the International Paper Company (IP) in Bainbridge, Georgia. Notable past projects for Hedman include development of a state-of-the-art Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and conservation bank for the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker; wetland and stream mitigation banking; and co-administration of the Dry Creek Long-term Watershed Study on IP’s Southlands Forest.
