At PBS&J, we try to use as many tools as possible to create diversity awareness. We have a dedicated link on our intranet that focuses on diversity. It includes downloads of our monthly diversity calendars, our diversity posters, recent diversity awards, as well as contact information for both our CDAC members and for the professional organizations that the CDAC supports.
Another resource is the monthly employee newsletter. Through this forum, we cover diversity topics of interest such as Women’s History Month, Black History Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, or Asian-Pacific History Month. Some articles are closer to home and might highlight an international lunch that was held in one of our offices or with a client.
Creating an inclusive and engaging environment is the key to PBS&J’s growth. One of the ways we do this is through the CDAC’s diversity poster campaign. Through the poster series, employees are able to share their personal stories and interests with their colleagues, making it easy for us to find common ground.
